Arcade 1Up Announces Star Wars Home Arcade Cabinet Releasing This Fall

At its E3 booth today, home arcade manufacturer Arcade 1Up unveiled its newest cabinet, an Atari Star Wars home cabinet.

According to the company’s press release, “This is the only at-home arcade cabinet that uses the original arcade software and features the X-Wing pilot controller! On this new addition to our line-up, will be the original arcade versions of Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi!”

The Star Wars cabinet will be joining a roster of home consoles that includes Street Fighter II, Space Invaders, Mortal Kombat, Centipede, and several others. While no information on pricing has been disclosed for this cabinet, similar cabinets are listed under $400 on the website, and the Star Wars cabinet is expected to follow that trend.

Alongside this reveal, Arcade 1Up announced a “head-to-head cocktail table” set, two arcade tables for two players, with one table featuring 12 Namco games and the other with 12 Capcom games. These tables retail at $500, and are set to release this fall.
