Ori and the Blind Forest is one of the best Metroidvania games ever released. The game has been available for a good while on PC and Xbox One, and owners of other gaming platforms are missing out a lot.
Thankfully, Nintendo Switch owners will soon be able to join in the fun, as Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition is getting released soon on the console worldwide.
The game is currently being shown at this year’s PAX West, and new footage has been captured by GameXplain. The footage does a very good job in capturing what makes the game so good, so check it out below if you have never seen Ori and the Blind Forest in action.
Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition is the enhanced version of the original game, including new content that is not found in the original release.
The biggest additions are two new areas called Black Root Burrows and the Lost Groves, which not only expand on the game’s lore and story but also provide new abilities for Ori.
Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition also features multiple difficulty levels. The Hard and One-Life modes can be quite challenging, but those who want to just enjoy the story can play the Easy difficult mode.
A fast travel system has also been added to the Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition, making backtracking less frustrating.
Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition launches on Nintendo Switch on September 27th.
