Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been getting DLC characters like the previous entry in the series, only that this time they are all newcomers, as all of the characters who have appeared in the series have been added to the base roster. We still have to learn more about the two final characters included in the Fighter Pass, and it seemed like the next one would be a character coming from an SNK developed game. Now, however, it seems like this may not be the case.
A couple of days back, Nintendo added copyright information to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate UK website showing SNK alongside Atlus and Square Enix, hinting at the fact that an SNK character is among the remaining characters. The DLC page with the copyright info has now been removed.
This could mean two things: the information was correct and was revealed ahead of time or this was a mistake and the next character is not an SNK one.
The next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character to release is Banjo-Kazooie. The iconic duo has been among the most requested characters for Smash and is finally coming this Fall.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate received, so far, three DLC characters – Piranha Plant, Joker, and Hero. All three characters come with unique movesets and a bit of controversy, as Hero is powered by RNG mechanics that can make him extremely broken.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now available worldwide on Nintendo Switch.
