In this tutorial we will show you step by step, how to fix connectivities problems such as Wifi on your Apple Watch. The post is based mostly on multiple solutions, which one of them might work.
Solution #1: Turn Off Mirror iPhone Feature
Step #1. Launch Watch app on your iPhone.
Step #2. Scroll down and tap on General.
Step #3. Tap on Airplane mode.
If this is toggled on, simply turn it off.
When Mirror iPhone is enabled and both devices (iPhone and Apple Watch) are in Bluetooth range, enabling Airplane Mode on Apple Watch will also enable it on your iPhone and the other way round.
Solution #2. Turn Wi-Fi OFF/ON on Apple Watch
This may sound silly, but in some cases, toggling the Wi-Fi On/Off does the job.
Solution #3. Change the Wi-Fi Network on Apple Watch
In case your current Wi-fi network is not strong enough, you should check other public networks to fix Wi-fi issue on your Apple Watch.
Step #1. Tap on Digital Crown of your Apple Watch. From the cluster of apps, tap on Settings.
Step #2. Next, tap on Wi-Fi.
If your iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi network, your Apple Watch will show that network here.
Step #3. Next, Swipe up the watch screen and you can see other Wi-Fi networks.
Step #4. Tap on any reliable network; enter the password and then tap on Join.
Now your Apple Watch is connected to a public Wi-Fi network. And your iPhone and watch are on different networks.
First off, you need to check if your Apple Watch can connect to any Wi-Fi network. For this purpose, take two quick steps on your iPhone and Apple Watch.
Enable Airplane mode on your iPhone: Swipe up from the bottom of the iPhone screen to bring up Control Center and tap the Airplane Mode icon.
On your Apple Watch, launch Control Center by swiping up on the watch face. Make sure you are on the home screen of your watch. You will see a blue Wi-Fi icon on the Control Center of your Apple Watch.
If your watch is not connected to a Wi-Fi network, you can follow another method to get rid of Wi-fi issue on Apple Watch.
Solution #4. Forget Wi-Fi Network on iPhone
Check that your iPhone and Apple Watch are connected via Bluetooth and your iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Step #1. On your iPhone, open Settings.
Step #2. Now tap on Wi-Fi.
Step #3. Tap on (i) icon next to the current Wi-Fi network.
Step #4. Next, tap on Forget This Network. Tap on Forget again to confirm.
Note that your watch is still connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth.
Step #5. Reconnect your iPhone to the Wi-Fi network.
Don’t forget that your iPhone is connected to a 2.4GHz network. Wait for a few moments as your iPhone communicates with your Apple Watch to establish a Wi-Fi connection.
Next, enable Airplane Mode on your iPhone.
Check that Wi-Fi icon on your Apple Watch by swiping up on the Watch screen to bring Control Center. If that Wi-Fi icon is blue, your watch is successfully connected to the Wi-Fi network.
Now you can disable Airplane Mode on your iPhone.
